1. Does PSGw for Linux handle SkypeOut (PSTN dialing)?
2. Can PSGw for Linux run on the same server as Asterisk or will a second machine for PSGW/Skype be required?
3. Does PSGw for Linux require a SIP registration or can it simply forward all Skype
calls to a particular ip and all incoming sip request to Skype so as to
allow the use of a PSTN gateway without the need to have SIP server like Asterisk?

1. Does PSGw for Linux handle SkypeOut (PSTN dialing)?
Yes, PSGw for Linux handles SkypeOut and SkypeIn calls.
2. Can PSGw for Linux run on the same server as Asterisk or will a second machine for PSGW/Skype be required?
Yes, PSGw for Linux can run on the same server with Asterisk. Configuration details are described in readme.txt.
3. Does PSGw for Linux require a SIP registration or can it simply forward all Skype

allow the use of a PSTN gateway without the need to have SIP server like Asterisk?
PSGw for Linux can run without registering at SIP server. PSGw for Linux can simply forward calls.
4. I don't see where G.729 is supported, is this currently planned for a feature release?
G.729 as well as G.723.1 requires licesing and the cost is quite high. We are not planning to use this codec.
